Starting with a Strong Scotch Ale with a big malt profile. Charateristics of deep caramel, dried fruits, smokey, full bodied. We then split the beer into rum and bourbon barrels and let it age for pert near a year.

The resulting beer has a nose of sweet oak, dried fruit and molasses. Flavors of plum, fig, oak, and some leather.

Tasting great now, but some age won’t hurt.
